Nothing signals the start of autumn more than a roaring fire. At Perry Wellness Center, we are readying our campus for the fall days with the construction of a new fire pit.

The cobblestone fire pit is being built in the pavilion of Hope Park, in the center of our lively campus. While we look forward to a few spectacular bonfires this season, the fire pit will also serve a more practical purpose.

Explains PWC founder Stuart Perry, “We needed more space for our peers who arrive early in the morning to have a space to warm and chat.”

Peers Joe Schank and Christopher Lewis, above, have worked hard on the new fire pit. In the photo, they are seen working with freshly mixed concrete as they affix the stones.

Firewood has already been gathered, and we look forward to the first roaring fire of October.
